FAQs

Questions families often ask

Don't see your question here? Call us. We're always happy to talk it through.

What services do you offer?

We offer in-home care (personal care, help around the house and companionship), dementia and Alzheimer's care, nurse-led services such as RN assessments, care plans and medication oversight, and healthcare staffing for facilities.

What areas do you serve?

Our office is in Laurel, and we serve families and facilities throughout Maryland. If you're not sure whether we can reach you, give us a call.

How do we get started?

Call us at 301-793-1449 or send a message through our contact page. We'll talk through your situation, arrange a visit with our nurse, and build a care plan together before care begins.

How do you choose your caregivers?

We screen every caregiver for skills, experience, credentials and background. Our founder, a registered nurse, trains our team, and we look for people who are experienced, compassionate, respectful and genuinely caring.

Do you care for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease?

Yes. Dementia care is at the heart of what we do. Our founder managed a dementia care neighborhood for nearly nine years and trains our caregivers in calm, patient, dignity-first care.

Is care hourly or live-in?

Both. Hourly care can be a few hours a week or every day. Live-in care means a caregiver stays in the home. We'll help you decide what fits.

Will we have the same caregiver?

We work hard to keep caregivers consistent, because familiar faces matter, especially for someone living with dementia.

Can the care plan change?

Yes. Needs change, and the plan should too. Our nurse checks in regularly and updates the plan whenever your loved one's health or routine changes.

How is care paid for?

It depends on your situation. Many families pay privately, and some long-term care insurance policies cover in-home care. Call us and we'll talk through the options that apply to you.

What if we need help after office hours?

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but you can call 301-793-1449 any time and someone will answer.

Do you provide staff for facilities?

Yes. We place CNAs, GNAs, CMTs, LPNs and RNs with long-term care, assisted living and rehabilitation facilities across Maryland, for short-term, long-term and on-call needs.

How do I apply to work with JTN?

Visit our Careers page to apply online with your résumé. We're always glad to hear from experienced, caring CNAs, GNAs, CMTs, LPNs and RNs.
